The village of Buková
The village of Buková (now part of the village of Olešnice) is located on the road between Žár and Olešnica, on the border between the Stropnická hill and the Třeboň basin. Buková is first mentioned in 1359 as a village in the woods that belongs to the Novigrad estate. Originally, the main road led from Olešnica via Bukova and Janovky to Nové Hrady.
