Žumberk (village)

The village of Žumberk, located at the foot of the Novohradské mountains, is a very attractive excursion destination. It represents a typical example of a walled village with partially preserved medieval fortifications. Late Gothic fortress from the end of the 15th century rebuilt in the early 17th century in the Renaissance style. In the years 1969-1974, it was adapted for the exhibition of folk painted furniture.
