The relatively young village of Petříkov was founded in 1790, when it separated from the Buquoy estate. It lies on the river Stropnica, in the past there were up to eight mills here. One of the millers was named Petřík, which is why the village came to be called Petříkov. The railway line České Budějovice České Velenice passes through Petříkov. Access by road is only via narrow roads from Jílovice, Olešnice and Jakule u Nové Hradů. Beautiful…
