Nymburk – statue of St. John of Nepomuck on Kostelní náměstí

Since 1965, the monument-protected statue of St. Jan Nepomucký can be found in Nymburk's Kostelní náměstí. This valuable life-size baroque sculpture dates from 1742, when it was created from sandstone, and its author is unknown.
The popular - and upward looking - saint is depicted here in a traditional way. On his right side is an angel holding the finger of one hand to his mouth and the other hand...
