Stadlec
The village of Stádlec lies along the course of the Lužnice river 14 km southwest of the district town of Tábora at an altitude of 449 m.
In the village, which was mentioned as far back as the 13th century, there is a Renaissance castle dating back to around 1560. Its current baroque appearance is the result of expansion and modifications carried out in the years 1730 - 1740. The castle used to be the property of the inventor František Křižík, who spent the last years of his life here.…
