The first written mention of the village is from 1295. There is only one village named Sazená in our lands. At the same time, a certain interpretation of this name assumes that the village was probably created as part of the so-called colonization sometime in the 12th century, when residents transferred from elsewhere were "planted" in the uninhabited landscape.
