Park at Veltrusy Castle

From the freeway on the route Liberec-Prague, we take the 39th exit to Mělník, from where we take the I/16 in the direction of Slaný. After about 13 km, turn left onto II/608. The Baroque castle of Veltrusy is inconspicuously inserted into a landscaped park. A tour of the interiors is not possible, at the time of our visit there is an exhibition of historical carriages, so we enthusiastically take advantage of the offer.
