Veltrusy – Allegorical Year of Matyáš Bernard Braun

We can doubt or disagree about the fact that Matyáš Bernard Braun was one of the most prominent representatives of Czech Baroque sculpture, but that's all we can do about it. Although a native of Tyrol, he moved permanently to Bohemia and, after his apprenticeship, established a workshop in Prague that produced sculptural decoration for a whole range of objects scattered mainly in the Czech basin.
