Nové Město nad Metují-Husovo náměstí

Nové Město nad Metují, a city heritage reserve, was founded in 1501 by Jan Černčický from Kácov. In 1503, Jan Černčický from Kácovo from nearby Krčín transferred city rights and privileges to the newly emerging settlement. The city was protected on the one hand by its location on a 30 m high promontory, on three sides by the Metuji river and also by up to 6 m high walls with two gates, Krajská in the north and Horská in the south.…
