New Castles

The sprawling castle is the most important monument of the town of Nové Hrady in České Budějovice in the South Bohemian Region. Part of the 15th-century fortifications with an exceptionally deep bricked moat, the eastern prismatic gate with broken arches, the western gate, the northern wing with the remains of Gothic masonry, the late Baroque western wing and the southern tract have been preserved in the extensive castle grounds.
