The Merta River is the largest tributary of the Desná. More precisely, it is a left bank tributary. Its main source is located on the southeastern slope of Vřesník (Mravenečník massif and Dlouhy strání) at an altitude of 1240 m. The stated length of the stream is 16,6 km, (the Water Research Institute states 17,07 km). The average flow in the estuary is given as 1,2m3, it flows successively through Kosař, Vernířovice, Štětínov, Sobotín, Petrov and to...
