First we have to get to Kouty nad Desnou, and since it is a crossing by train or bus, it is best if we get off at Kouty U mostu (under the ascent to Červenohorské sedlo). It is a winter trip, so on cross-country skis, it would also be possible on snowshoes, but the cross-country skiers would probably not praise us in the end, because we will also use the ridged track.
