The White Gate in Ostrov

Reviews

Based 0 assessment.
Every visitor to the Castle Garden in Ostrov is immediately struck by the massive stone decoration and the monumental entrance to the castle park from Jáchymovská street. This unique stonework dates back to 1690 and was executed by master stonemason Paul Büttner. The white gate bears in the middle above the upper arch the alliance emblem of the owners of the estate, the Margraves of Baden on the left and the Dukes of Saxe-Lauenburg on the right.
