Velehrad
Velehrad is a large village with 1500 inhabitants and is the most important pilgrimage site in Moravia. Today, we can find here the largest Baroque church in our country, and in 1991, Pope John Paul II visited this village for the first time. Velehrad can be found in the northwest direction from Uherské Hradiště under the southern peaks of Chřibů. The village is located in a valley formed by the river Salaška.
