Statue of St. Vendelína in Velehrad
In U Lípy Street, opposite the pilgrimage shop on the west side of the Velehrad Monastery Complex, in the corner of the protective wall, there is a statue of St. Vendelín in a niche chapel. The statue of the saint was created in 1765 by the carver and sculptor F. Hirnle (also known as Hiernle), and the arch of the upper cornice bears a distinctive inscription: Consecrated to St. Wendelin to the royal shepherd.
