It is located on the main Square of Freedom and forms the dominant feature of its northwestern side. It was built in the Neo-Renaissance style in 1887-88 and is the work of the Viennese architect Josef Drexler. Its total height reaches 38 m and entrance to the building is made possible by two Renaissance portals. One with the city coat of arms, the other with the imperial coat of arms.
