The first mention of the village of Tuř, which is located approximately 7 km south of Jičín, dates from 1368. At that time, there was probably already a fortress here. In the 17th century, the Jesuit stronghold was rebuilt into a castle, which was subsequently modified in the 19th and 20th centuries. Today the castle is in private hands.
