Not far from the village of Strážný, at a distance of about 25 km south of Vimperek, there are the remains of the dam after the oldest dam in Bohemia, which was built on the river Řasnice, about 1 km east of the village.
The dam was allegedly built during the reign of Charles IV. in the 14th century. This unjustly neglected technical monument has extraordinary dimensions for its time: the dam was over 500 m long, up to 51 m wide at the base, at the crown...
