The Mammoth statue is located on the left bank of the Sázava River, under the Split Rock on the Sázavský okruh cycle path, on the Hamerské walking circuit, and on the red and yellow tourist sign near the Najdek part belonging to Hamry nad Sázavou, in the historical territory of Bohemia, only about 17,2 meters east from the historic land border of Bohemia and Moravia, which in those places forms the middle of the Sázava River bed.
