On the southern edge of the Column, a 35 m high sandstone rock cairn (318 m) rises above the valley of the Dobranovské stream, generally considered to be the Rock Castle. A number of historical sources mention the Słupsk Castle, but its location is still unknown. It most likely stood at the northeastern foot of the rock, where, in addition to the fortifications, it was also protected by the surrounding ponds with swamps, and where later the manor house and the newer castle were built...
