the cave is a modest hermit's dwelling, artificially excavated in a sandstone rock massif jutting out from a small hill above the southern edge of the Pillar. The rock with the cave was originally called Spitziger Stein and is most easily accessible via a side stream from Sloup or from the fork south of Na straži lookout. A steep path leads from the lower part of the ravine to the cave.
