Ore - reservation

The Ruda Reserve was established to protect a large peatland on the south and south-east side of the Horusické pond about 3 km south-west of Veselí nad Lužnicí.
The territory is for the most part overgrown with Scots pine and Hogwart birch, whose stands alternate with wet meadows with a varying thickness of peat. A number of rare wetland plant species grow here (gray-leaved sedge, cranberry,...
