An execution house, or also a city police station with a prison or a prison cell. The warden of the prison - biřic lived here and the first mention is from 1556. Part of the prison was a torture chamber in the basement or a chapel with an altar dedicated to the Savior. Around 1850, there were 5 cells in the execution house, but the executions were carried out in Opava, because the Oder did not have its own executioner. Today, the building houses the Museum of Municipal Law. Just the day I was there…
