The Oder is a pleasant town with an interesting historical center. The castle used to be the biggest landmark here, but it was blown down after a big fire during socialism, and an older and far more valuable building - the parish church of St. Bartholomew - rose to the first place in the ranking. From the market square, you can only see the tip of its tower, a much nicer view of it opens up to you if you walk through the park below the square and see it towering...
