Mound of peace - Austerlitz
Mound of Míru is a memorial to those who fell in the memorable battle of the three emperors. It was the Battle of Slavkov in 1805 between the combined armies of the Austrian Emperor and the Russian Tsar against the army of the French Emperor Napoleon. Around 20000 soldiers died in this engagement, the battle changed the map of Europe and enabled Napoleon to march into Russia.
