Church of Saint Bartholomew and the Assumption of the Virgin Mary in Doksy

 
It was built around 1638 on the site of an older wooden church. The author of the early Baroque building was the Flemish architect Bernard Canevall. A hundred years later, chapels were added to it – in 1748, from the south of the chapel of St. Barbara and in 1754 on the north side of the chapel of St. Crisis. In 1832, the church tower was raised.
The one-nave building has a pentagonal presbytery, a rectangular sacristy and an oratory on the south side. The facade is…
