The Minorite Monastery was founded in the years 1243 - 1247 by the Old Boleslav provost Tobiáš z Benešov (+1261), one of the sons of Beneš z Benešov, who is considered the first documented ancestor of the local family.
The monastery was burned down by the Hussites in 1420. Archaeological research from 1941 focused on the immediate vicinity of the end of the presbytery of the monastery church, dating from the last third of the 14th century. North…
