Fountains in the center of Jihlava
The beautiful large Masaryk Square in Jihlava is decorated with two new stone fountains with sandstone sculptures by local sculptor Jan Václav Prchal, which represent a pair of ancient gods linked to the sea. In the place of the original, medieval wooden fountains, you can see a fountain with a statue of Neptune in the upper part of the square, and a fountain with a statue of the goddess Amphitrite sitting on a dolphin in the lower part of the square.…
