It is located on a prominent promontory above the confluence of Tiché Orlice and Ostrovecký stream between Chocní and Brandýs nad Orlicí. Remains of ramparts and a prominent dry moat have been preserved from the former medieval Gothic fortress dating to the 14th and 15th centuries, which has a trapezoidal shape, to which a noticeable access road still leads from the former mill called Wormwood.
