Hlúčín - remains of the walls

There are many interesting things to see in the small town of Hlučín. One of them are the remains of the medieval city walls, built in 1534 by the then owner of the city, Bernard from Zvola. They are built of quarry stone and were 2 meters wide. Of the original 13 bastions and two gates, only seven bastions and small sections of the castle walls remain. The reconstruction of this immovable cultural monument is currently underway.…
