Havlíčkův Brod - monument to Bedřich Smetana

There are two reminders of Bedřich Smetana's studies in what was then Německé Brod, i.e. a bronze commemorative plaque on the gymnasium building and a monument in Budoucnost Park. The marble monument with the bust is the work of the sculptor Julius Pelikán. The money for the construction of the monument was obtained by the Women's and subsequently the Men's Choir from royalties and proceeds from concerts.
