Havlíčkův Brod - plague column and fountain
Both cultural attractions are located in the historical part of the city in the middle of Havlíčkova náměstí. The baroque plague column, also called the Marian column, has a statue of the Virgin Mary at the top and statues of St. Wenceslas, St. Andrew, St. John of Nepomuck and St. Floriana. It was built in the years 1702-1717. A short distance away stands a beautiful stone fountain with a statue of Triton holding a large stone bowl with a dolphin on his head.…
