Chrudim - statue of the Puppeteer
The statue of the Puppeteer, depicting the figure of Matěj Kopecky, is located in front of the Karel Pippich Theatre. Its author is academic sculptor Zdeněk Němeček. The sculpture is equipped with this commemorative plaque: To the Czech puppeteers, who spread love for the Czech language among the people during the national revival.
The monument was unveiled in 1976 on the occasion of the 25th anniversary of the Chrudim Puppet Company.
