Not far from the Castle in Mladá Boleslav is one of the most valuable Jewish cemeteries in our country. It was founded in the sixteenth century and is home to 2000 tombstones. The most sought after is the marble tombstone of a controversial figure in Czech history, Jakub Baševi. The cemetery also includes a ceremonial hall from 1889 with the exhibition "History of the Jews in Mladoboleslavsk".
