Zbýšov is a small town with 3900 inhabitants and can be found at the eastern foot of the Bohemian-Moravian Highlands, north of the town of Oslavany and south-west of the town of Rosice. Zbýšov was the center of black coal mining in the Rosickoslavan region, the headquarters of the mines was located in the town. Mining was terminated at the end of the 20th century.
