The defunct observatory in Nové Jičín

There is an observatory in picturesque Nové Jičín, from where astronomy lovers had the opportunity to look through a telescope into the mysterious cosmic sky. It was opened in 1951. The building is located at the intersection of Janáček and Smetana orchards, about a five-minute walk from the city center.
