Novojičín statues of St. Anthony and St. Ignatius

 
 
A pilgrimage route led from the town to the Spanish Chapel in Novojičín, which was lined with ten statues of saints and crosses over time thanks to the generous donations of wealthy townspeople. Yes, during the "Dark" period, on the one hand, there was a great (and sometimes violent) re-Catholicization of the people, but on the other hand, the beautiful and soaring building style, called baroque, took over and beautified the landscape beyond recognition.
