Castle in Blansko

In the valley of the river Svitava stands a Renaissance castle from 1604. It was rebuilt from a Gothic fortress. The foundations of the cylindrical tower from the Romanesque period have been preserved. In the middle of the 15th century the fortress was modified so that it could serve as a residence after the castle's demise. Until the middle of the 18th century the castle was the center of the Blanen estate, it was bought by the Solm - Reifferscheidt family and annexed to Rajeck. At the castle here, there were turns…
