Štěchovice water reservoir

The main purpose of the Štěchovická dam is to regulate the water in the Vltava. The work also includes a lock and a hydroelectric power plant. The dam also found its use for recreation, sailing and sports. However, it did not expand further, because it is not only more difficult to access (especially by motor vehicles), but also has cold water in it, even in the summer months. Thanks to this, the valley of the Štěchovicka Reservoir remained at least a little romantic.
