Verebly's Oak
Above the upper end of Nové Malín we can find a memorial tree called Verebely's Oak. As the table informs, this is a tree approximately 150-200 years old. It was preserved at the edge of the forest thanks to the owner, who missed the tree at the edge during logging. The original owner, like other Sudeten Germans, was pushed away. The current owner of the land is probably the local farmer Václav Verebely, after whom the tree is named. A farmer besides…
