Velvary - Prague Gate
One of the Renaissance monuments of Velvar is the Prague Gate, which was built by the builder Bartolomej Vlach in 1580 under the burgomaster Jiří Mydlář. The fortification of the city at the beginning of the 16th century also included the Roudnická Gate (demolished in 1841) and the Malovarská Gate, on the site of which the Renaissance Slanská Gate (demolished in 1573) was built between 1576 and 1878.
