This sacral building with a high monumental facade is the biggest decoration of the south-eastern part of Freedom Square. In terms of the volume of the built-up space, it is one of the largest Moravian churches after the St. James Church in Brno. Its predecessor was the parish church, which was burned by the Hussites during their campaign in Moravia in 1426.
