Uherský Brod - Via Lucis obelisk

In the middle of Masaryk Square in Uherské Brod, we find a remarkable monument to Jan Ámos Komenský, whose life is connected with this city. In 1992, on the 400th anniversary of the birth of the last bishop of the Czech Brethren Church, a monument in the shape of an obelisk was unveiled. The bronze monument is decorated with, among other things, Comenius' map of Moravia, various of his sayings and excerpts from his works.
