Fortress – Žďár nad Sázavou
The fortress was built around 1300, it is one of the oldest buildings in Žďár. It used to be part of the fortifications of the city above the river Sázava and the seat of the magistrates. In the 19th century (since 1920) the fortress was used as a school. On May 9, 1945, the building burned down. Today, it houses the Regional Museum. In front of the building are two bells cast in Žďas in 1951 and 2001.
