The regional museum in Žďár nad Sázavou is located in the building of the old fortress built around 1300. It is not far from the church of St. Procopius. The museum is open all year round, it does not have a permanent exhibition. It alternates with various thematic exhibitions. From August 2013, the nearby reconstructed Moučk House was opened as the new building of the Regional Museum of the city of Žďár nad Sázavou.
