The Nemyšl fortress is first mentioned in 1373 as the property of Litvín of Nemyšl. The village and eight other villages were inherited by Bohuslav Mistrovský in 1506. After his death in 1545, his son Vilém took over the fortress and part of the castle, and his mother Kuňka took over the other part.
