This year's vacation I spent a lot of time on my bike. During one of the trips around the area, I was drawn to the monument to the fallen near the village of Turkovice. It stands inconspicuously on the side of the Turkovice - Nový Dvůr road on the right. It is shaded by two shapely linden trees.
19 names of soldiers killed in World War I from Turkovice and surrounding villages are engraved in the monument.
The monument is maintained, there is a nice view of the Čáslav region in the western direction....when you drive...
