ROCK AT SOVOLUSK - SOVOLUSKY

Skalka near Sovolusk
is a natural monument east of the village of Sovolusky. The inconspicuous hill can be seen from the road Sovolusky - Urbanice.
The inconspicuous hill has been protected since 1978. The reason for the protection is the discovery of an abandoned quarry, where the outcrop of the so-called pillow lava was exposed and it is considered to be evidence of a deep-ocean outpouring.
Well, I don't really understand these things, you can read more on the advertising board. So bring your glasses... :-)
