The camp-monument of Jan Žižka from Trocnov
In the northern, upper part of Žižka Square in Tábor, a monument with a bronze statue of Jan Žižka from Trocnov, made by budding sculptor JV Myslbek, was unveiled in 1877 near the Dean's Church of the Transfiguration on Mount Tábor. Defective material was used to make the statue, so the statue had to be taken down soon after its unveiling. The statue was replaced by a sandstone statue made by him in 1884...
