Kotnov Castle stands at the western end of the town of Tábor in the South Bohemian Region. The castle had an approximately pentagonal plan. The perimeter wall was strengthened by at least 4 towers, the palace was connected to the wall on the south-eastern side and another longitudinal residential building on the north-western side. After the foundation of Tábor, the castle was supplemented by a fence wall, connected to the City Fortification and, on the western side, to the massive Bechyňská Gate. IN…
